Acupuncture and Herbs
I was inspired to study Chinese medicine after seeing my own father experience benefits from receiving acupuncture for the side-effects of chemotherapy. I embarked on a 5-year full-time degree course studying acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in London and China
It wasn’t until I was on clinical placements working in Beijing hospitals that I witnessed first-hand just how quickly patients could recover. It made me realise the true value to patients of integrating Chinese medicine with modern medicine. I was totally inspired from that moment on, and have been passionate about bringing that model of integrated healthcare to the UK ever since!
Therapy with Liz
I decided to retrain as a psychotherapist after having been in psychotherapy myself, because of mental illness in my own family. I am passionate about psychotherapy and the opportunity I experienced firsthand – it has the potential to change lives.
After working for a women’s centre as a volunteer to gain experience, I set up my practice in 2014 and have seen it gradually grow since then.
